Hannah & Samuel's bedtime routine is pretty basic - warm bath, lavender lotion (the best scent in the world on a child!), warm jammies and teeth brushing. After Mr. Clark brushes their teeth I carry each one to bed because "mommy best." Then Bobby & I tuck them in with a prayer and occasionally I'll sing or give them a back rub. I always thought they preferred the back rubs to the prayers.
The kids have been staying up a little later than normal this past week. And b/c we've allowed them to stay up later we've been a little rushed getting them tucked into bed. We do P90X after they go to sleep and who wants to be up all night exercising? But I digress, in our rush, we overlooked a few things. Several nights this past week Hannah has opened her bedroom door, peeked out and commented, "You forgot to pray!"
I could just cry typing this! How amazing that my little baby won't let us forget to pray for her before she goes to sleep. So ... Lord, thank you for a daughter who remembers You even when her Mommy & Daddy are so hectic they become forgetful!!
