Well ladies, I have a proposition for you. So many of you have asked for elderberry syrup because you want to try it before you commit or you simply needed it immediately. I have no problem sharing but I thought of a wonderful idea the other day.
I need 3 to 7 ladies who are interested in splitting the cost of ordering elderberries. Depending on how many women are interested we'll either order 1/2 lb or a whole lb. We'll split the total cost (which would include the shipping & handling.) Once the berries have arrived, every one can come to my house and we'll make every one their own batch of elderberry syrup. That way you'll also get an idea of how it's done plus I have all the ingredients. We may need to split the cost of a few jars of raw honey because each batch uses 1 cup of raw honey. My Dad normally gets it for me for free but if he can't we'll need to invest in more.
I don't think we'll need more than one batch per person but if we do we can always order more.

i'm in! and i'm going to join the co-op at the beginning of march and ask them to start carrying elderberries in bulk.
and i have cloves and cinnamon i got from hochstetlar's last week just for the syrup--i can share those :-)
